Choked, Not Depleted: NGLTech at OWI APAC 2026
NGLTech participated in OWI APAC 2026, held from 30 June to 1 July 2026 in Kuala Lumpur, where we shared a clear perspective with the region’s well intervention community: many idle wells are not depleted, but choked.
Our Principal Technologist, Yohgern J, presented “Choked, Not Depleted”, focusing on opportunities to recover lost production from idle and marginal wells through surface based solutions without the need for downhole intervention.
NGLTech also chaired Day Two of the conference, which brought together operators, service companies and well intervention specialists from across the Asia Pacific region.
One key question from the closing session continues to resonate: is an idle well an engineering problem, or a commercial one?
